About Matthew Bovee and Camp La Junta

Matthew Bovee attended Camp La Junta as a 12-year-old in the summer of 1999. That summer, counselor Thomas “Tommy” Redhorse introduced him to the power of investigative journalism.

Years later, as an award-winning journalist, Matthew Bovee established the Thomas Redhorse Memorial Scholarship to honor his mentor’s memory.
